Today

We are going to look at how to write a coherent main body paragraph by looking at the example below.

Through the development of  Achilles and  Priam, Malouf suggests that war is a force which causes more harm than good. This is proven by the fact that both Priam and Achilles suffer loss and grief because of war.  The loss of Hector at the hands of Achilles in a single combat match devastates Priam, forcing him to realise that war is not the only answer and seeks redemption from his loss. Priam seeks to redeem himself through the recovery of Hector’s body; Priam does not seek a physical redemption but a mental redemption, meaning he seeks to be freed from the feeling of guilt. He feels guilty because he believes that he is to blame for the war that took Hector’s life. Priam goes achieves redemption by renouncing the nature of war so that peace is realised.
