Your weekends homework was to read pages 56-66. If you have completed this task you should be able to answer the following questions:
- How does Lennie repsond to the thought of the dogs getting the rabbits?
- How does George repsond to Candy wanting to join him and Lennie on the farm? What changes his mind?
- Why does Curley attack Lennie?
- What does Slim make Curley promise?
CHARACTER ANALYSIS
- Get into groups of four
- Get a piece of A3 paper
- Assign the role of scribe to one member of the group
- Write your character’s name in the centre of the page
- Write adjectives that describe this character in big letters around the outside of the page and provide evidence from the book that illustrates the adjective you have chosen. E.g. Mr. Dennis > Thoughtful > Gave his Japanese exchange students a gift when they left to return home
