Creating and Presenting folio piece – Choose one form.
You are to write a persuasive piece of approximately 400 – 500 words responding to the prompt below, using one of the forms listed. You need to refer in some way to ideas and content of ‘The Rugmaker of Mazar-e-Sharif’ and you are free to bring whatever else you have studied in class or researched that you feel is relevant. Remember that the overall context for writing is ‘Encountering conflict’. You may use your notes as required and these must get handed in with the piece.
You will also have to complete an explanatory statement.

Forms:
- A speech – you will need to indicate to whom you are speaking and where they are gathering.
- A persuasive essay – the most usual audience for this is a teacher and it needs to be formal
